Celebrating Easter in Racine While Social Distancing
The Governor of Wisconsin issued a “Safer at Home” order in late March that shut down many industries that are not considered as essential. This was done to limit the spread of Coronavirus here in the state. The “Safer at Home” order also is intended to restrict how often individuals travel and interact with other people outside of their household. With Easter right around the corner, this order all but eliminates the opportunity for Wisconsinites to celebrate the holiday with friends and family members that they do not live with. The team here at Frank Boucher Volkswagen of Racine is here to help residents understand how they can celebrate Easter this year while also following social distancing recommendations and orders. Let’s get started!
Attend Remote Easter Services
One of the many typical Easter events that have been affected by the social distancing as a result of the Coronavirus is Easter Mass at churches throughout the state. While you cannot physically attend church services here in Racine, there are opportunities for many churchgoers in the area to attend Easter church services remotely. If you have yet to receive information from your church regarding how they will be handling Easter services, you should reach out to their point-of-contact to discover if they will be offering virtual Easter services.
Conduct an Indoor Easter Egg Hunt in Your Home
There are also a number of traditional Easter events that you can recreate within the safety of your own home, including an Easter Egg hunt. You can buy candy online or in your local grocery stores, which are still open as essential businesses. You can also order the plastic Easter eggs and other necessary items online from retailers as well. Just because you are social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the Easter holiday celebration this year!
